Breast Pathology and Cancer Diagnosis

Roberto N Miranda has completed his MD at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, in Lima, Peru and after emigrating to United States, completed an AP CP Residency at Brown University, fellowship in Hematopathology at Vanderbilt University, and has been Faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center since 2007, where he is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Hematopathology. He has an interest in T-cell lymphomas and has developed an expertise in breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma, a topic on which he has several landmark publications and book chapters, and on which he has lectured nationally and internationally.

Hallgeir Rui is a PhD holder and serves as the WBCS Endowed Professor of Breast Cancer Research in the Department of Pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI. He has previously held positions at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA, Georgetown University, Washington DC, and Uniformed Services University, Bethesda, MD. He completed his Post-doctoral training at NCI, Frederick, MD and Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, FL. He received his MD and PhD degrees at the University of Oslo, Norway. His laboratory research is centered on analyses of human breast cancer to improve tailored therapy.

Feng Yan is the Vice Director of Department of Clinical Laboratory in Nanjing Medical University Affiliated Cancer Hospital and Jiangsu Cancer Hospital. The research works focus on the Bioanalytical Chemistry in laboratory medical diagnostics, particularly in detection of tumor markers and tumor cells. She has published 42 papers in SCI journals.

Dr Rani Kanthan is a consultant Anatomical pathologist in the Dept. of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan with a focused interest in surgical oncology including breast and gastrointestinal tract. She has published more than 100 peer reviewed manuscripts that are indexed in PubMed /Google scholar and serves as an editorial board member in various journals. She is an active educator and continues to participate and present at various national and international meeting.

Melissa Drew is an international keynote speaker and award-winning data and digital transformation consultant focusing on how AI technologies impact procurement and supply chain organizations. She has received numerous awards from Top 25 Global Consultants, Top Data Voice in North America, to Women Thought Leaders to follow in 2023. Melissa’s' priorities include running after twin teenagers, educating our next-generation workforce, and providing more opportunities for women's voices to be heard at conferences. A recent Cancer Warrior, Melissa was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in Jan 2022 and is currently cancer-free. A force to be reckoned with, she continues to break down barriers and share her knowledge and lesson's learned freely.

Professor Charles Coombes, Professor of Medical Oncology, Imperial College London. He is also Hon Consultant Medical Oncologist, Imperial College Healthcare Trust. From October 2010 Professor Coombes is Director of The Imperial CRUK Cancer Centre. He is also Chair of The Imperial Cancer Research (UK) Centre Steering Committee and Theme leader for Cancer, Imperial College London He is engaged in developing novel methods for prediction of response to endocrine therapy in breast cancer and also carrying out research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of resistance to endocrine therapy and development of novel anti-cancer drugs.

Indira Poola has completed her PhD in Biochemistry from Mysore University, Mysore, India and post-doctoral training at the University of Michigan and Cornell University in the USA. She served as a Professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Surgery at Howard University Medical School, Washington, D.C. USA for 17 years. She is currently President of Silbiotech, Inc., in Gaithersburg, MD, USA. She has won 27 grant awards from 9 funding agencies totaling over $8Million. She has published more than 40 papers in highly reputed journals and has served as an adhoc reviewer for 24 journals. She has served as an adhoc grant reviewer for 10 different agencies including NIH, DoD, NSF, EPA, and Komen for the Cure.

Dr. Wiseman brings more than 40 years of academic and clinical experience to Bria Cell Therapeutics Corp. As Co-Founder of Bria Cell, he is the inventor for most of the Company’s intellectual property and actively participates in its ongoing technology development. During his career, Dr. Wiseman has managed numerous clinical development teams and programs, with a focus in oncology, tumor immunology, vaccine development, and genetics. He was previously the principal investigator for immunotherapy treatment protocols at the St. Vincent Cancer Treatment Center and the Los Angeles Oncologic Institute. Dr. El Hadji Seydou Mbaye was born in 1978 in Kaolack a region of Senegal. During 2008-2013, he earned his PhD in Biology and Human Pathologies with the collaboration of the International Agency for Research on Cancer / World Health Organization, (IARC/WHO), Lyon (France); He obtained a Master’s of Life and Health, Specialty Biology of microorganisms, Virology; a Master’s of Life and Health, option Immuno-physiopathology; a License of Biochemistry in Louis Pasteur University of Strasbourg (France); and a General Degree in Sciences and Technologies in University of METZ (France). He was certified Grade 10/10 by the Federation International of Gynecology Obstetric (FIGO), the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE), and the Institute Catalan of Oncology (ICO). These credits were recognized as Physician’s Recognition Award (AMA PRA Category 1) by the American Medical Association. He was awarded as International Outstanding Scientist Awards 2020, Awarded as the Best Researcher Award 2021, by VDGOOD. He was certified, by the United Nations, by IARC/WHO. He has published 1 Book with a style of philosophical story. Author of the World Program against Cancer in Low and Middle Incomes Countries, he is lead author of more than 90 peer-reviewed research articles published in reputed journals. Dr. Mbaye is Editor-in-Chief of 4 journals, Editorial Board Member of 157 International Journals, and then he has Edited/Reviewed 270 peer-reviewed articles. He is member of Allied Academies, member of the World Society for Virology (WSV), member of World’s Leading Virologists Group: Facing to Covid-19, member of U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM): Societal Experts Action Network (SEAN), and also, member of BCNet International Working Group, IARC/WHO. Dr. MBAYE has formed for free, more than 250 Healthcare Professionals for the techniques of cervical cancer screening in Senegal.
